“In my garden there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful.”

Abram L. Urban

Langley, the only city on Whidbey’s south end, is a favorite destination for islanders and tourists alike. Due to its walkable environment, people enjoy a variety of retail experiences and private enterprises. The historical buildings that line the commercial core are filled with charming flower-filled pathways, pocket parks and beautiful views of the Saratoga Passage and the Cascade Mountains.

Whidbey Island is located 30 miles north of Seattle and is accessible by ferry on the south end of the island and by bridge from the north. It is the largest island in the United States measuring 62 miles long. The island forms the northern boundary of Puget Sound.

Whidbey lies partially in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountain Range, situated to the west where islanders have a spectacular view of the Cascade Mountain Range.
